Our Origins
Where The Laer Name Began
Our family history traces back to the late 1800s in Siberia, when our great-grandfather was taken in by the Laer family as an infant. That family name has been carried forward ever since.
Over the generations that followed, our family endured war, uncertainty, and hardship, yet the values of perseverance, humility, and responsibility remained constant.
Those values continue to guide our company today.
Work Ethic Passed Through Generations
Built Long Before The Company
Our grandfather never returned home after being drafted into World War II, leaving our grandmother to raise six children on her own.
Our father began working as a young boy to help support the family. That commitment to responsibility became part of our family’s identity and continues to influence every generation that followed.
Hard work was never viewed as an obligation. It became a way of life.
The Journey To America
A New Beginning
In 1989, our family renounced Soviet citizenship in pursuit of new opportunities.
After traveling through Moscow, Austria, and Italy while awaiting sponsorship, we arrived in Washington State ready to begin again.
Within days of arriving, members of our family began working in the siding industry. What started as an opportunity to provide for our family eventually became the foundation of Laer.

While we have experience in commercial and multi-family work, our primary focus today is residential siding and exterior finishes.
We work closely with homeowners and national builders to deliver clean execution, consistent timelines, and reliable communication.
